We brought our own bottle of wine. Corkage is $15 and free on Wednesday. Yesterday we did a Zoom Virtual Wine Tasting presented by OC Wine Mart. It was of three Juan Gill wines from 2017 and 2018. In my own wine collection I had a Juan Gill Silver Label of 2011 vintage and brought that to the restaurant. Aging this particular bottle seems to have neither helped or hurt the quality of the wine as it tasted about the same as the 2018 Juan Gill Silver Label wine. The food at Colleary's is excellent and we enjoy the live music presented most nights of the week.

Most restaurants are using scanned QR codes rather than giving out menus to reduce spreading Covid-19.
We put our name on the Yelp Waiting List before we left our house. Yelp said the wait would be about 40 minutes. But when we got to the restaurant, they said it would still be another 30 minute wait for our table. However, we were allowed to wait in the bar area and order a drink We ordered a bottle of their featured wine, Exitus. It was quite good. Most restaurants in Fullerton are open for outdoor patio dining but not for indoor dining. Stubrik's Steakhouse has an area set up for outdoor patio dining, but they are not using it. They are allowing indoor dining instead. I'm not sure why Stubrik's is allowed to provide indoor dining while other restaurants in Fullerton are not, but it is great to have a place to go on colder evenings.
We ate upstairs at Stubrik's where they have pool tables and a few restaurant tables. We had never eaten upstairs at Stubrik's before. The food here is excellent, especially the steak.
Wine & Train Travel Enthusiats Monthly Gathering

Almost since Twisted Vine was established in 2006 a small group of us wine and train travel enthusiasts have been meeting here on the 4th Monday of each month. We didn't start right away when The Twisted Vine opened as they were closed on Monday's when they first started. When they did start being opened on Mondays, it was the least busy night of the week. But eventually, even Monday nights started being busy. But since our gathering has always been from 4 PM until about 5 PM or so, we'd be gone by the time the after-work and dinner crowd started arriving. Our little group is a subset of the Rail Travel Meetup Group, just those that not only love train travel, but also appreciate good wine.

The Rail Travel Meetup Group history goes back to almost 1996, about 25 years ago. It started out as the "San Diegan Club" named after the Amtrak trains that operate several times per day between San Diego and San Luis Obispo. A number of years ago the name of this Amtrak route was changed to "Pacific Surfliner". In its boom days we had over 40 or more people that would come to the Meetup on the 4th Monday of every monoth. Now we are down to an average of 7 or 8 people that attend each month, even during Covid. We used to meet at various restaurants near the Fullerton Amtrak / Metrolink Station, especially Knowlwood. But since our group is much smaller now, there is room for us to just meet at the Santa Fe Express Cafe that is right on the platform of the station.
