The guy with the bare back in the last video above, we have nicknamed "Mr. Cigar Aficionado". Every previous time we have seen him at The Fling, he was the only one dressed in a 3 piece suite, looking totally overdressed for this place. He looked like he just stepped off the cover of Cigar Aficionado magazine. Today he was dressed super casual and even ended up completely taking off his shirt for a while. I guess he only knows extremes: either super over dressed or super under dressed.
The Ray Wolf & Band, Sonoramics, is the band that will be playing at Stephen's 70th Birthday Party on August 9, 2021, from 10 PM to 1 AM.

We went to The Lobby Bar in Riverside and did a toast to Scotty's Birthday. They were playing Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho movie on one of the bar TVs. However, they were blasting DJ Hip Hop music upstairs with a cover charge. We decided to look for somewhere else to celebrate, but at almost 2 AM, just about everything was closed. We ended up going to a 24 hour Denny's and bought Scotty a piece of cake for his birthday. Barbar and I didn't get home until almost 4 AM! Unfortunately I accidentally deleted the photos that I took in Riverside except the one above photo of the Riverside Mission Inn.

We saw a lot of fireworks put on by many different cities and organizations as we drove from The ProAbition Whiskey Bar in Riverside to The Fling Cocktail Lounge in Santa Ana, California, between 9 PM and 9:30 PM. However, the most amount of fireworks that we saw in one place was right from the parking lot in front of The Fling! I think most of these were being set off by private individuals, though they were even setting off skyrockets. Some were being launched right from the parking lot in front of The Fling and some from behind the building. There were aslo some being launched from just a couple of blocks away. This may have been the best place to watch a lot of fireworks without being in a crowd.

People must have had some left over fireworks from yesterday as skyrockets were still being launch from backyards near The Fling. Live music has not yet returned to The Fling on Monday evenings.

A new country band is starting at The Flingn Cocktail Lounge on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, led by Ruby Kay of The Ragdolls and The Ruby Kay Trio (RKT) called The Tuesday Band. I wonder if they will have to change the name of the band if they later play on a night other than Tuesday? Maybe they can keep the name since the first night they will ever play will be on Tuesday. We plan on trying to attend their first night here.

Tom introduced me to a great IPA, "Full Contact Imperial Hazy IPA". I often order another beer by the same brewery, Elysian SpaceDust IPA, but this one is as good as better. Later we all went to the Ivanhoe Restaurant & Bar which had the same beer, but on tap! Tom was also playing some grat music in his home: "Melted on the Inch, Griffonbrass - Boss Keloid."

NEW: The Fling Cocktail Lounge now offers food! Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! Since they don't have their own kitchen, I suspect they get the food from the small restaurant that is right next door to The Fling. However, I don't think they have any late night food as the restaurant closes much earlier than The Fling. But there is still a Pizza Hut and a Del Taco in the same parking lot that are open late and The Fling does allow you to bring in your own food.
