Above is a photo of the wine that we brought from our Anaheim house which we received as our OC Wine Mart November 2022 wine club selection. The Terra restaurant actually had a number of wines that we love on their wine list including an Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon, thought not the "Reserve."

We had met the owners of this restaurant the night before at The Tartan Room as they were having dinner next to our table. We decided to give the restaurant a try. It was quite busy both indoors and outdoors even though it was a bit cool. They have heaters out in the patio so it wasn't too bad.

Campus JAX 7th Anniversary Jazz Jam!

CampusJAX made an error in announcing their 8th Anniversary. It is really the beginning of their 8th year, not their 8th Anniversary. It is their 7th Anniversary. Jack Jasper founded JackShrimp, a California-style Cajun cuisine restaurant in Newport Beach around 1990. After 25 years he closed that establishment and opened CampusJAX with a similar California-style Cajun menu on January 12, 2015, but with live jazz. Terrance Love, former owner of Steamers Jazz Club and Cafe in Fullerton that closed a number of years ago, now sponsors SteamersJAX every Thursday night. SteamersJAX features much of the same jazz talent that used to perform at Steamers Jazz Club and Cafe. The below sign show below is the original Steamers Jazz sign that used to hang over the stage at Steamers Cafe.

Dr. King loved all types of music, especially jazz. This celebration honors his legacy with music, special videos of his journey and anecdotes from his legacy. This is the 2nd annual show featuring outstanding jazz from Elena Gilliam and the George Gilliam Quintet; George/guitar, Michael LeVan/piano, Teodross Avery/sax, Ernie Nunez/bass, Paul Kreibich/drums. The evening promises to shine a light on the legacy of Dr. King, as we continue to aspire to his dream of peace and equality.

We brought our own wine from our Anaheim House and paid the $25 corkage fee.

Wine we brought from our Anaheim house as part of our OC Wine Mart Club Membership.

I thought it was interesting that I got this particular fortune in my fortune cookied that read: "Lucky you! You are Years of the Rabbit if you are born in 2023, 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963, 1951, 1939, 1927, 1915, and 2025." I was born in 1951, a Year Of The Rabbit! What are the chances that I would have gotten this fortune? But then we discovered that many people at our table got this exact same fortune, including those not born in a Year Of The Rabbit.
