Garrett Baxter played the base. We've seen Garrett many time previously at the now closed 1905 Jazz Club. I'm not big into base players, but he is one that is very enjoyable to watch playing. He really puts his heart into it. Watch either of the above videos and you will see what I mean. I think I actually enjoyed watching Garrett play more than Adriana.

Snow Covered Street In Front Of Our
Home In Vancouver, Washington

Our street has not been plowed since it first snowed a few days ago. I don't know if Clark County has any snow plows. This is what the view out the front of my Vancouver home has looked like for several days. Snow does not usually sit on the ground long in the Vancouver / Portland area. Winter temperatures generally range between the mid-30's to high-40's and it rains a lot in winter, almost every day. The rare times the temperature drops below freezing, it will snow instead of rain. But usually the temperature will soon rise and the rain will wash all the snow away, often on the same day that the snow piled up on the ground. Because of this, Clark County where I live has not invested much in snow plow equipment. So, when the temperature remains below freezing for a number of days and there is no rain, the snow just sits on the streets unplowed for days. My street has looked like this for days and it is extremely rare to see any car ever go by. I can see some footprints in the above photo, but I don't see any tire tracks. They are expecting higher temperatures and rain later today or tomorrow which should wash all the snow away. But as you can see, even a little piling up of snow shuts down much of the entire area until the next rain. Many restaurants, bars, theaters, and other venues have emailed notices that they are closed and events cancelled due to the snow, even though it is probably less than 4" on the ground.
