The "Real" BOGO Back Again At

REAL Black Angus BOGO was back this weekend good through Monday, July 1, 2024. Black Angus hasn't had this offer for many months. Instead they've been featuring BOGO 50 which is buy one, get one at 50% off. But for this weekend, they went back to their original buy one, get one free, for up to $35. We were shocked by how much their prices have gone up. Our bill would have been $80 without the $35 discount and all we got were 2 six ounce steak meals (one free with bogo), a grilled onion topping on one ($4) and 2 diet pepsi ($4.25 each). That was all we ordered. The BOGO brought the tab down to $45 before tax and tip. We only ever go to Black Angus when they have their real BOGO offer, buy one get one free. We almost always get the salmon dinners, but it has been so long since the last time they had the BOGO that we decided to order steaks which we rarely ever eat.

mildly struck from behind. We've

Generally I try to keep my politics off this website, but Barbara and I were very much affected by this incident. We have have been strong President Trump supporters since 2016 and had been worried about an attempt by the Deep State to assassinate Presidential Candidate Donald Trump.


Director of Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, said the slope of the roof from which Thomas Matthew Crooks shot Trump was too steep to position Secret Service agents. Above you can see law enforcement officers easily standing up straight on that roof. Meanwhile, you can see where Secret Service agents were stationed had a much greater slope. Can't she come up with better lies to cover her incompetence?

On multiple occassions since 2007, Downbeat Magazine has heralded the Crescent Super Band with their coveted Downbeat Award, recognizing them as one of the top young big bands in the world. In 2023, the band won DownBeat Awards in three separate categories: jazz, rock, and Latin! The band has also won 26 "Best of State" awards for Utah, including 16 consecutive years as Utah's "Best Professional Band".

Every Thursday Twised Vine is featuring one item that used to be on their menu that was removed years ago. When Twisted Vine used to have a Turkey Panini, that is all that I'd ever order. I really miss it since they removed it from the menu. I had to go and order it for this one day that it was featured. I ordered the weekly white wine flight, Barbara ordered the weekly red wine flight, and we shared both of them.

This Indian Buffet is huge! It has a great variety of items and the flavor and spice is excellent. They have always served their buffet all day from 11AM until 9:30PM Tuesday through Sunday. They used to have a lower price for lunch and a higher price for dinner starting at 3PM, but now they just have a single price of $20 per person for both. Years ago when I worked out of the TrainWeb office in Fullerton, California, we would go out for an Indian Buffet lunch every day at different Indian Restaurants. At that time, an Indian Buffet lunch cost between $4.99 and $6.99 per person. But at $20 per person for just lunch, this is like a special event for us. And that is $20 per person without any beverages other than the free table water. We often spend more than $20 for dinner when we go out, but we almost always split one meal. I guess these prices just reflect inflation and the times. Most of the other Indian Restaurants that we used to frequent have given up on offering buffets because food has become too expensive and they don't believe people will pay what they'd have to charge for a buffet.
