Chris A. Lobo is a 9th generation Mission Indian connecting lineally to three Mission Tribes (Juaneno, Luiseno, Diegeno). As one of the core families of San Juan Capistrano his blood lines are traced through the Mission sacramento records to at least 8 village sites that are pre first sustained contact and anthropologically documented as early as 1709 within the region. Currently Lobo is an active citizen of the Juaneno Band of Mission Indians.

I love Mediterranean and Greek Food but never liked the restaurant that had been in this location for many years, across from The Twisted Vine in Fullerton. Nor did I like the wine they served even though I do like wine from Greece and many Mediterranean countries. I love Italian food so hopefully this will be a good Italian restaurant. This will be the third Italian restaurant in Downtown Fullerton.

A new catering service set up behind The Fling around 9:30 PM that I had never seen there before. I had to try what they had to offered and ordered #1 3 Tacos/Queso Tacos + Consome ($12) and #2 Birria Grilled Cheese Consome ($12) to share with the rest of the people at my table. Also, I wanted to support and encourage them to come to The Fling more often. I did mention to them they are like to make more sales if they show up on a reliable schedule. Since the music doesn't start until 9 PM at The Fling, most people have already had dinner. But if a food server could be relied on to show up ever time, more people might skip dinner and wait to buy food at The Fling. The Fling itself does not serve any food.

Tezeta Band with KMHD DJ's Derek Smith & Bri Drennon. Ethiopian Music's hypnotically funky rhythms and exotic totality lay the foundation for Tezeta Band, an eight-piece ensemble that plays Golden Era instrumental soul music. With a sound rooted in Ethio-Jazz, Tezeta Band (pronounced tih-zeh-tab Band) have been play old-school African jams across clubs, and festivals to popular acclaim since 2008. The group was created by members of legendary 90s Portland hip-hop group, Five Fingers of Funk, who became obsessed with the catchy melodies and pulsing grooves introduced on the now legendary compilation series, Ethiopiques.

On our way home from Clyde's Prime Rib Restaurant we stopped by the Ballot Drop Box at the 99th Street Transit Center and deposited our ballots. In the morning we were greeted with the above news item. The arsonists burnt the ballots at the East Vancouver Transit Center Ballot Drop Box and not the Ballot Drop Box at the Transit Center nearest our Vancouver home. Click here for more information.
